Look at what we have been doing in Year 5 and 6 this week...
Week beginning 16/11/20
It has been Safety Week in school this week. Our Road Safety Officers did an assembly for us and we followed it up by thinking about how to be safe on our bikes, producing these lovely posters to help tell others.
We learnt about railway safety and about how to stay safe at level crossings in particular. We created new signs to give the message of stop when the lights flash and barriers go down.
Keira did some lovely homework writing a non-chronological report on Isaac Newton. She used her Science and English learning to help her.
Week beginning 9/11/20
In RE, we have started to think about making wise choices and created an owl for our RE display. Our wise choices are on the feathers
In English we have been reading some non-chronological reports and finding the features of this text type
We have been thinking about what we are thankful for as part of our work on Christian Values. Keira was very thankful for everything her Mum does for her and shared this with the class
We have been been improving our tennis skills and ball control with our sports coach Mr Wilson.
we have been self assessing our times tables knowledge so we know which ones we need to improve on.
We have enjoyed another whole class music lesson with Miss Cochrane and we now know notes D, E and F and can play a tune using these.
We have been improving our atlas skills when researching the countries of Europe
Our Year 6 children all took part in Bikeability training and passed with flying colours!
